About
My name is Mark Centoni, and I love to build things. Specifically, I love to build things made of words, pictures and code. Lots of code. I get a charge out of seeing something concrete, functional and useful where there was once only a collection of ideas. I have nine years of online marketing, information architecture, web and print design, web and email development, blog design, authoring and development, copywriting, analytics and marketing communication strategy over multiple channels: web, direct mail, social media, email, events and seminars.
On the front end, I hand code in HTML/CSS/Javascript using standards compliant techniques for search engine optimization and use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks and InDesign for graphic design and production. On the backend, I use PHP/MySQL in conjunction with WordPress to create sites that are easy to manage and update.
During the day, I am the Business Development and Communications Manager for Andreini & Company, a large independent Insurance Brokerage headquartered in San Mateo, CA. At night, I design and build web sites for my growing community of freelance clients.
